The sky is LIMITLESS

The Sky's the Limit? So what, you reach the sky and that’s it, nowhere else to go? Whoever came up with that? Well, here we have a different philosophy. We believe that The Sky is Limitless.

The Limitless Club at Indiana University strives to bring out the best in people, pushing them past their limits and fostering relentless spirits that are constantly searching for improvement. They host events designed to push their members out of their comfort zone, and this hot air balloon event is designed to show their members and the greater IU community, that the sky is truly limitless.

Leading up to the event our team created posters posted around the IU campus, as well as traffic-heavy locations around the city of Bloomington where students were known to hang out.

Appetite, a student-run advertising agency I had the opportunity to co-create, was tasked with an advertising campaign to promote a hot air balloon event ran by the Indiana University-Bloomington Limitless Club.

Then we created mysterious post-it notes that we handed out and posted around campus. The notes had no information about the event, instead, they simply had a design of a hot air balloon and a QR code. Students’ curiosity invited them to scan the codes, which would take them directly to a sign-up screen for the event.



We also conducted on-the-street interviews, questioning students walking to and from class about times when they pushed beyond their comfort zones, and proved that the sky was limitless, to raise awareness for the event. The night of the event itself, we took pictures and videos of students having eating free Chipotle and enjoying hot air balloon rides, for Limitless to post on their social media and gain traction for their next venture. We also designed the banner that was hung from the hot air balloon during the event.
